Even though we could not perform for audiences at the beginning of 2021, we were able to accomplish the 2nd part of our mission, to educate. We received a request to help Christ United Methodist Church in Newport News with basic skills and techniques review after their bellchoir's 2 year hiatus. Joyce Easter volunteered to help get them off to a good start even when snow postponed the event by one week to the first week in February. Thanks, Joyce!
Virginia Beach Christian Church held a workshop on July 31st and asked VHC to help them bring their chime choir to the "next level". Donna Writesel and Karen Simons tailored a workshop to do just that. By showing their group how to mark and study music, ring together and stop together, and utlilize various chime techniques, beautiful music was made and fun had by all. Thanks for the invitation Virginia Beach Christian Church!
