​          Virginia Handbell Consort

  Are you an advanced handbell ringer with the desire for a new challenge?  If so, Virginia Handbell Consort would like you to join us! We rehearse on Monday evenings from 6:30-9:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church in Hampton, VA.  Be prepared for a few Saturday morning rehearsals as determined by the music director.  To join the fun, contact us for the audition schedule.  Auditions consist of an individual assessment that includes:

          1. A written test of musical and handbell terminology

          2. Demonstration of technical and musical mastery of ringing handbells

          3. Ability to play rhythms in a variety of meters

          4. Sight-reading with the ensemble

          5. An interview with the Musical Director and Board Members
